2–8 players

2: Goal of the Game

2: Goal of the Game

Hold the least amount of points in your table cards at the end of each round

Point values are shown in the top left and bottom right corner of each card

3: Setup

3: Setup

Choose a dealer

Deal 4 cards to each player, face down, in a 2×2 layout in front of them

Each player may look at their own 2 bottom cards and commit them to memory

Return them face down to their original positions

Table card positions are fixed for the entire round

Place the remaining cards in the center as the draw pile

Standard Start:
The dealer goes first

Running Start:
The dealer flips the top card of the deck so all players see it at the same time

Any player with an identical card may immediately discard it

The first player to do so goes first

Dealer rotates clockwise each round

4: Turn Structure

1. Draw Phase

Draw 1 card from either:

>The Draw Pile

>The Discard Pile
(if it is not frozen — see Special Rules: Discard Freeze)

2. Play Phase

2. Play Phase

After looking at your drawn card, you may:

>Discard it immediately

>OR replace it with one of your table cards

If discarding immediately:

If the card is an action card, you may activate its action
(see Special Cards & Actions)

Actions are only triggered when an action card is drawn and discarded immediately

Discarding cards from your table cards does not activate their actions

If replacing:

Place the new card face down in the same position

Discard the replaced card

All discarded cards must be played in a way that all players see them at the same time

You are not allowed to look at the card before discarding it

You may not rearrange your table cards
(unless using a Swap card — see Special Cards & Powers)

3. Reaction Phase (Speed Play)

3. Reaction Phase (Speed Play)

When a card is discarded:

Any player may attempt to discard an identical card from their table cards

Identical cards are based on symbol, not point value

Control of the Reaction:

The first player to discard an identical card to the discard pile gains control

Only that player may discard table cards during this turn

Continuing the Reaction:

That player may continue discarding additional identical cards they know

There is no limit to how many cards they may discard

Outcomes:

If you discard your own card:

You now have one less table card

If you discard another player’s card:

Give them a table card of your choice face down without looking

Speed determines control — being first is critical

Incorrect discards result in penalty cards (see Special Rules: Penalties)

4. End Turn

4. End Turn

Play passes clockwise

5. Action Cards

5. Action Cards

Peek Mine

If drawn and discarded immediately:

Peek at one of your own table cards

Return it face down to the exact same position

Peek Yours

If drawn and discarded immediately:

Peek at one of another player’s table cards

Return it face down to the exact same position

Swap

If drawn and discarded immediately:

Swap the position of any two table cards

For example:
You may swap one of your table cards with a table card of another player
You may swap one card from one player with one card from another player
You may mess with someone and swap the position of two of their table cards to throw off what they remember

Red King (-2 points)

If drawn and discarded immediately:

Perform 2 actions

Any combination of peeking or swapping

For example:
You could perform two Peek Mine actions
You could perform a Peek Mine and a Swap
You could perform two Peek Yours actions

Blue King (13 points)

If drawn and discarded immediately:

Perform 2 actions

Any combination of peeking or swapping

Counts as identical to Red King for discard matching because they share the same rune

6. Special Rules

6. Special Rules

Discard Freeze:

If a player discards an identical card before the next player begins their turn:

The discard pile is frozen

The next player does not have the option to draw from the discard pile and must draw from the main deck

Penalties:

If a player incorrectly discards
(not identical OR too slow), whether it is one of their own table cards or another player’s:

They must draw 1 penalty card from the main deck and place it face down into their table cards without looking

7. Calling CAMBIO

7. Calling CAMBIO

On your turn, before drawing, you may call CAMBIO if you believe you have the lowest point total

Once you have called CAMBIO, turn your table cards sideways to indicate they are locked

No swaps or peeks involving your table cards

No player may touch your table cards

You may not touch any other player’s table cards

You are now out of the round

All other players get one final turn

Then the round ends

CAMBIO Scoring:

If you called CAMBIO:

and you have the lowest score:
subtract 5 points

and you do not have the lowest score:
add 5 points

and there is a tie for the lowest score:
your CAMBIO call is unsuccessful and you add 5 points

8. End of Round + Scoring

8. End of Round + Scoring

The round ends when:

1: A player clears all their table cards

2: CAMBIO is called and final turns are completed

All players reveal their table cards

Count total points

Track scores across rounds

9. Winning the Game

9. Winning the Game

Keep track of each player’s score after every round

The game ends when a player reaches 100 total points
(or another agreed-upon point total set at the beginning of the game)

The player with the lowest total score wins
